Anyone had experience of the below detailed tank bag. I'm looking to purchase a tank bag and came across this one and wondered what the fitting was like and whether it was stable enough. Any info would be apreciated.

SW Motech Quick Lock BMW GS Tank bag

SW Motech is the highest quality tank bag system available which attaches to your tank via a custom tank ring adaptor. This means no part of the bag directly attaches to the tank so the bag is rock solid thus eliminating risk of damage to paintwork caused by bungees as used on traditional tankbags.

Designed especially for BMW GS models. With it's narrow cut front it does not disturb the handlebars.

It has a carrying capacity of 25 litres.

Very good quality and once on is as stable as any tank bag I've known. If you have the crossbrace on your bars you have to sit it quite far back so it doesn't foul, doesn't affect riding position though, I've got the sport one, ideal for camera, phone, wallet etc. When you get it you have to drill and fit the base to the bag, loads of adjustment so you can have it exactly where you want it, bonus is it doesn't actually touch the tank so no risk of scratches either.:thumb2

Yep +1

I have the 12volt bag and its excellent, I have it fitted with a cross brace and wunderlich bar bag, Really stable and you dont even know that you have it on the tank

I have the fill size GS bag and it is one of the best I have used. When I fitted mine I reversed the fuel cap so fitted the ring with the hooks facing forwards for extra safety. This meant I had to run the release through the base of the bag to the inside but I think it makes it safer as the bag needs to be opened to release it. Easy to attach and take off when needed. The horn button does hit it on full lock though.

Oops.... Above photos show zipped up capacity. A section can be unzipped just below the main zip to increase to the full 25l. I had plenty of room on my last trip not to need the extra capacity.
