Like many 1150GS’s my switches were very faded, having OCD 
I looked to see what I could do about it, the only solution really was to buy newer unfaded controls…..the expensive option or take a punt and buy stickers from Moto discovery in Greece, not as expensive…..but not cheap!!! Anyway they arrived in a few days (postage was bloody expensive for a small envelope 
) first of all you clean the switches with an alcoholic wipe, you then stick on the appropriate sticker and then stick on a clear covering. Not sure if I like the glossy finish or how hardwaring these will be…only time will tell.
