Has anyone used one of these on a 2005 R1200GS?

(http://www.motobins.co.uk/bmw-parts.php?model=R1200 and click on "clutch". It is the PRESSURE PLATE COMPLETE WITH DIAPHRAGM SPRING AND STARTER RING R1200GS/RT at 105 pounds)

The price is good but I believe there was an updated pressure plate in April 2006 that required a different clutch housing and push rod. Motobins don't seem to know which pressure plate they have, pre April 2006 design or post so I don't know if it is going to work on my bike (which is Feb 2005 build) without changing the clutch housing and push rod.

thanks.

P.S. Does anyone know what was changed or why?

If you go to the later set up look at the end of the pushrod were it makes contact with the pressure plate. The contact point has a rounded profile where as the earlier set up was more conical. If you go to the later set up you will have to change the flywheel plate ( the one that bolts on the crankshaft so new bolts will be reqd) Lightly oil the threads and the contact area on the bolt head - torque to 40nM then through 40 degrees. Clutch housing bolts - again replace torque is 12 nM

Thanks for that.

Do you know what the difference between the old and new flywheel plates is? What the difference between the old and new pressure plates is?

My local BM shop (independent, not a dealer) say they can modify the existing flywheel plate and push rode to work with the later pressure plates but the mechanic I spoke with didn't know what these modifications were (the other mechanic wasn't there).

thanks.

New ceramic clutch has been in a few weeks now and it is great. Good feel, not at all abrupt or switch like. (done about 1000kms)

The motobins pressure plates are apparently the old type not the updated ones as they fitted perfectly with the existing back plate and push rod.
