I'm thinking about getting a motorbike carrier that fits on the towbar.
They only take bikes upto 150kg - which is OK.
The idea is to be able to take a bike over into Europe.

But I've just been informed they are illegal in spain.:(

Anyone know what the rules are for these in France:confused:

Bike Rack

Carried a dirt bike round France a few years ago and it never caused a problem.

Would be suprised if anyone in Spain actually took you to task over it!

Cheers, Rick

We all do it sir

I carry one on the back of our Camper, all over Europe, no probs
As long as you make sure that your axle is not overweight it's OK.
To check, put bike on, go to local weighbridge and weigh the arse end.
As long as it's in manufacturers rec's [ as shown in the Manual]:rtfm :rtfm
it's not a problem, just remember that if you load the boot as well THAT could push it overweight:blast :blast
My mate carries his bike and has a roof rack right at front of roof, {Vauxhall Omega estate}he has been weighed coming out of Santander and was OK :thumb2
Just make sure you have a lighting board and the SQUARE warning sign on it...
