Hi everyone,

I’m considering getting a Motorcycle CarPlay Dash Cam that comes with physical BSD (Blind Spot Detection) sensors. On paper, it sounds like a great safety feature—it’s supposed to alert you of vehicles approaching from behind or in your blind spot. But I’m wondering, are the warnings subtle or too intrusive?

My mate has it on his Chigee. It's quite discreet!
I've got the Innov and it's mounted above the satnav and right in my view. My set up is much better.
 
I am sure it's very good but the only bit of dash cam I KEEP seeing and hearing of being fitted to bikes is the Innov... and all rate it very highly.
 
For many many moons, people used their mirrors, sixth sense, over the shoulder life savers, etc.
Then blind spot detection has arrived, and suddenly people become reliant and want it.

Head on the swivel, is the best blind spot detection there is, not least it does keep your neck loose :D
A quick glance in the mirrors every 10-20 seconds will enable you to see what is happening behind and also give you a good idea of your immediate surroundings, not least as what to be aware of.
Over the shoulder look before any overtaking moves take place.

now a days its best to do a lifesaver both left and right...fckn uber eat riders are prone to using cycle lanes and undertaking at every opportunity..
 
This unit is basically the same as the new Aoocci which I’m getting for review soon, I’ll post a review once I’ve got it.

I don’t tend to use the BSD on my CHIGEE as I’ve got it built into the bike but it’s definitely quite discreet and useful.
 
The unit has arrived. I haven’t installed it on my bike yet, but I took a look and I’m really impressed—the screen and cable quality feel very solid. It’s true what they say, you get what you pay for. I went with the coupon Z55B and saved $110.

what happens when it fails and you pull out in front of a passing car ..... who's fault then ?

I still do the safety checks.
The blind spot detector is another safety aid and is excellent for alerting you when someone is approaching from the rear, especially when you are stationary.

Just realised he’s tested the CPMC not the Aoocci but it’s basically the same unit, same software and everything
 
Finished my review although it is a little rushed as I’m away on holiday but I’ve used it for 1000 miles so far so can honestly say I’ve not just done a commercial for it.

It’s the same unit as the CPMC B6 (same discount too)
