Motorcycle Rentals in Dubai

Anybody know what the motorcycle rental situation is in Dubai ?? Will be there around 30th March until 8 April. Are they available ?? Is it recommendable (knowing how the locals drive their cars, I might need to take a very strong insurance policy...).

Any routes recommendable ?? Want to do some desert riding...

I'm not sure if there are places to hire bikes in DXB, but try giving Sandstorm motorcyles a ring. They sell bikes and will know who to speak to:

Bike hire in Dubai

Hi there Mike, as far as I know the only people that hire bikes in Dubai are Harley Davidson, but trying to get a Roak King over the dunes might be a bit of a handfull, BMW did a while ago I think hire bikes but insurance was an issue so they don't do it any more, there are other Dodgy outlets that hire Fireblade's and the like but risky to say the least, bikes in poor condition and probably only 3rd party insurance, not worth the hassel bothering with. If you do manage to get a bike from Sandstorm don't forget to get an international driving licence.

Thanks Richard. I'm currently in the process of getting the trip itself sorted out, so I should know my dates more accurately next week.
