As winter is slowly approaching, I've been researching options of winter storage of my bike. So far with no success. As the house I am living in has just shitty shed, I used to have problems with moisture over the winter months.

Does anyone know is some bike shops or so offer a bike storage?

Have you thought about a vacumn 'bubble' to stop moisture ,put the bike in it and use the shed you have?

Buy a decent shed. And a bike cover. Take the bike out on dry days and ride it. :D

My bikes live in a wooden shed and moisture is never a problem...

you can buy these vaccum bags that you roll it into, and suck the life out with a hoover, and there is somesort of humidty cristals that goes inside. Maybe if it was some rare race special or vintage jap bike, but not my cup of tea, i'm a BWB, not a FWB!

Like the vacuum bag idea

Thanks for the tips. I like the vaccum bag idea, so might give it a shot.
Storage in Edinburgh is out of my reach.
I was just checking if there would be something handy. As it seems there is not, I'll just ride through the winter, same as last year.

FFS ... winter storage :blast

We get some great motorcycling days out there in the depths of winter ... just ride the feckin' thing :comfort

Used them for both the kettles (thats gt750's. not russell hobbs!). Remove batteries, put the bikes in the bag, suck most of the air out, crystal bag goes in, seal the bag. The bike comes out as it went in. simples.

Get the large size bag, easier to get the bike in, and dont suck too much air out.

Mate if you really want it stored I'm 1 hr 25 up the road and am happy to do it for free. Double garage heated, no worries. I guess that takes it off the road as far as the odd day goes but if you're not planning on using it the offers there :)
