Just read about this in Bike magazine. I'm not too hot at Swiss, but here's a rough translation. It's a 10/40 rather than 20/50. Do Boxers really need special oil? :augie

WITH NO SMALLER ONE THAN THE RENOWNED ONE BMW TUNER AC OF SCHNITZER CO-OPERATED MOTOREX, AROUND PARTICULARLY AN OIL CO-ORDINATED WITH THE CURRENT DOUBLE-PISTON ENGINES OF THE BAVARIAN MARK TO DEVELOPING. The NEW LUBRICANT HEARS ON the NAMES „MOTOREX BOXER 4T ENGINE OIL “

A special engine concept requires a special oil - in such a way the premise read with the Premium Schmierstoffhersteller from Switzerland. The Vierventil Boxer of BMW for example places among other things because of its air Oelkühlung, the cylinder arrangement, the Trockenkupplung as well as the situation of the cam shafts special requirements against an oil.

MOTOREX carried and the MOTOREX Boxer 4T engine oil in the viscosity for these and other characteristics of the Boxers calculation SOWS 10W/40 developed, whose composition and molecular structure harmoniert perfectly with the technical conditions. The new High Tech Oel secures the optimal heat balance of the Boxers, prevented at the bearing surfaces of cylinders, cranking and cam shafts for effectively premature wear and avoids corrosion as well as deposits inside the engine. The synthetic MOTOREX Boxer 4T engine oil guarantees a sturdy lubricating film as well as a constantly high oil pressure in all speed ranges, reduces the friction in the engine significantly and reduces gasoline consumption. Besides new high speed engine oil lends a plus to the double-piston engine to achievement as well as larger with high engine speedness and provides in such a way for more dynamics in all speed ranges. Beyond that the new lubricant decreases the oil consumption of the aggregate, shines with high Temperaturstabilität and preserves both seals and sealing rings.

Extensive tests as well as the specialists of the Aachener BMW of Tuning enterprise AC Schnitzer guarantee highest performance and the exzellente quality typical for MOTOREX.

The new MOTOREX Boxer 4T engine oil is available starting from in the middle of November in 1-Liter or 4-Liter-Gebinden in the well sorted specialized trade.

Read the handbook -

A good 20/50 oil is better than any new wonderous snakeoil -

A fool and his money are easily parted.
