Hello

Spent a good half hour on the phone to Motorad Glasgow today, guy Called Blair who was exceptionally helpful about a few things.

having had the GS for only a couple or so months he took the chassis number and told me of the updates/recalls I require.

Software updates for fuel injection and battery and also a fuel seal.

He also took alot of time to explain the battery problems and the sleep mode and is also arranging (hopefully) to replace the front engne cover under warranty on my word.

Obviously the proof will be in the pudding, but reckon I will use these guys services rather than Dundee, and looking forward to their branch opening in Edinburgh.

Cheers

Sorry to bug but I have a 1200, bought new 3/11/05 and have not been told of any recalls, updates, seals other than when I bought one of their battery chargers and it wouldn't work. I was told it didn't need the battery update as already done. Can you enlighten me with any more detail, ie dates which seals etc :nenau :nenau :nenau :nenau :nenau :nenau :nenau

Hi

If you bought new last novemebr then I reckon you don't need any recall work.

the work he mentioned was required on 04 and 54 bikes I think.

He could me everything required from my chassis number, so if you are worried, give BMW a phone and quote your chassis number.

However, I have been watching this forum for while and there has been no recall work required for bikes as new as yours.

Cheers

I did a 260 mile round trip to them last wednesday & they get the :thumb from me

Blair "buddy dude" Willoughby is OK in my book :D

Blair is the workshop manager btw, Russell Gibson-Batty (sales manager) is a top bloke anol, now rides one of the new ltd GSA's :)

Thanks yellowfello, peace of mind at least, sounds like a good dealer, enjoy your bike!
