placed order tuesday morning, was,nt despatched till thursday evening(good job i,m in no rush)hoping to do a oil service today:mad:anyone else had poor service off these muppets?and wheres everyone ordering their service items.maybe its just my first time bad luck

Surprises me to be honest.
Everything I've ordered (lots in the last two months) has been despatched either same day or at the latest, next day.

I hope your experience doesn't turn out to be typical - I had formed the opinion that they were a decent outfit.

Might be worth a phone call to find out why?...

mate i gotta say you must have just caught them on a very rare off day! iv ordered quite a few bits from them and they have given fantastic service, the guys there have been really helpfull and all my bits have arrived real fast.. :Motomartin

I know that if there's a number of parts in your order they'll not send until they're all there to save on postage. But will send if asked.

Why did the bike suddenly need the oil change?

Should this be in the dealers area?

Parts I ordered Wednesday 5pm - sent Thursday - arrived today.

1 part they have to order in - will follow on Monday.

Thats been my experience with every order I've placed with them. If an item is not in stock then they will either hold the order over (on mysay so) - so it all arrives at once. or despatch the part order and the missing part will turn up when they say it will.

I definitely won't call them 'Muppets'

I've ordered a few times from them and the stuff has been sent half way round the world, the record was 4 and a half days from ordering to outside my front door!

I think this a little unfair, its not exactly poor service, more down from their usual excellent to average, this could be for a number of reasons, like illness, or just a rise in orders. :rob

I think a 2 day turnaround service is actually pretty good. I think we all expect a bit too much nowadays. We start screaming and shouting when things arent delivered the very next morning. Ive always been extremely pleased with motorworks and prefer to deal with them over anyone else to be honest. I have an order for some bits with them at the moment, just waiting for it to come into stock. :)

Only really dealt with Motobins and Motorworks, but they do seem to have some idea of customer service, ie send e-mails confirming orders and when they've shipped them.

Unlike a supplier of German sourced accesories in Wales who swear blind one day it's been sent, but don't have a tracking number or waybill number. Strangely enough the bits turned up a couple of weeks later

Motorworks = great to deal with on the phone, prompt delivery, never any problems in past 5 or 6 years.

Sorry you were disappointed but "muppets" seems a bit harsh based on a small delay.:thumb

I'm in the same boat as the rest, I've never had bad service from them. When I first got the GS I ordered loads of stuff in one one hit, and the sale team phoned me up as I had ordered something that didn't go on the gs. I'd clicked on the wrong item, so they sorted that out. They also informed me that some of my order was out of stock, and gave the option of waiting for the back order, or two deliveries at no extra cost. Great service, you must have just been unlucky.

Been a customer for many years - never a problem - always really helpful /knowledgeable.
Stuff arrives next day if you order am - I think they use 'Garth' to do the wrapping-up
Highly recommended - muppets - No way

+1 particularly the 'muppet' bit, I've never had anything less than a great service from motorworks and that includes good advice over the phone :thumb2

On a par with Nippy N' and James Sherlock IMHO.

Thumbs Up from me, too ...

I have bought lots of bits and pieces off Motorworks and always had great advice and service - often they have dug out good second hand parts to keep my costs down. They always check if I seem to be asking for the wrong part and make helpful suggestions when I'm a bit lost. Friendly, efficient and on time. I agree with others that "muppets" is a bit OTT based on my experience - give them a chance and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Cheers,

Psyko.

Muppets !!!

:rob I have ordered loads of stuff over the years from Motorworks. They couldn't be more helpfull, there service has always been first class and quick. So I find the " Muppet " comment is very harsh. :ronno
