Anyone managed to mount a Tom tom one XL on their GS and keep it waterproof, the only solution I can think of is by using a tankbag.

Suggestions however unusual appreciated

Phil

i used a hard case and taped the slots up,works fine

FWIW .. there will be a RAM-HOL-TO5 cradle arriving for the TT ONE XL, but its open style, so not weatherproof.

My mount for TT 720 arrived today but no-one in to collect, so off to the Post office tomorrow then I have to find a solution for waterproofing, plastic bag with zip tie seems favourable at the moment. Any better ideas welcome.

You may need to watch that condensation does not form on the inside lining of the poly bag

A couple of pin holes thru the poly lining may be needed to ventilate the bag (as used in AquaBox front lens).

Baglux now do a little tank bag to hold a GPS unit. It's split into 2 parts, the GPS lives on top, and there's plenty of space underneath for a phone and iPod, plus slots for cards and documentation should you so wish.

It's also got a little wiring port, I've got both GPS power and home-made Autocom loom running through it so I can just drop it on the bike, snap in the 2 connectors, and away you go. I'm just trying to work out whether to use the power connector on the headstock or get secondary AUX power on the beak.

They also do a magnetic version if you don't have/want a Baglux tank cover.

Ordered parts

Right, later than I would have liked I have ordered the ram mount parts for my one xl, and I would like to wire in a power solution. I have looked at a couple of options on here and it seems I need to get hold of a power plug for the one xl. Any ideas where these are available from or should I just order a £3 power lead off amazon and cut it up?
