I've been asked to lead a trail ride this coming sunday 24th.

I need a change of scenery so starting from Pentrefoelas on the A5 at 9.00am

I believe Rick and Jim are up for it, anyone else?

NOT suitable for GSs and all bikes will need knobbly tyres.

We may be doing bwlch y groes:eek:

bwlch y groes
just the right time of year for this lane:D:D

have fun

We'll see hey Curly Tots........:thedummy

I'm up for it.
What sort of sized group are you aiming for?
T. with the brazilian beard

I was thinking six if we do bwlch or eight max if we don't.
You mentioned JM may come:bow:rob:thumb2, and he knows more than I do there even though it was my back garden for a while, which could mean we are up to six already.

Sounds fun..

If there are places still available I would like to come along please.

I don't beleive it

Once again I can't make it as I'm working:(
Could have done Saturday this weekend but such is life.

On a bright note the bike is still smoking and coming to the end of running in. Even managed a couple of lanes in the dark tonight, well it was rude not to being as I was passing:)

Put double the oil in the pre mix Rick so that there's plenty of smoke to go round:D

All work and no play Hew, you know what that makes you......:augie

And adding too much oil means less petrol in the charge, meaning running lean, that can cause hot running and seizure.

Timpo.

Timpo.

I do get plenty of time to play, it just ends up being on my own. So I know what that makes me:augie
I'm sure that I will eventually fall into sync with all these rides.:beerjug:

Sunday Ride

Don't worry Eddie, I'm sure I can provide enough smoke to hide Tim's 'offs' from Timpo's camera! :D

On the bright side, Maico's are being re-introduced, if you are old enough to remember the smokng beasts, and they are about to release a 700cc 2-stroke single
I'm sure one has my name on it along with a bed at Wrexham Hospital....

Really looking forward to the day out on Tim's old stomping ground.

See you all there.

Cheers, Rick

Now where did I put those rose-tinted spectacles! I used to race a 490 Maico in 1984/5, I both reached my peak, and trough of my motocross "career". Met my soon to be wife, and later to be ex-wife, and finished off with a two week stay in Ashton under Lyne hospital. :eek
Those were the days..........:rob
Mark

Can't make this one but I'll be down alot more if i get the Pope Mobile :D
Have fun and take it easy :thumb2

When we get to Penmachno a mate is going to join us on his Honda 50 and watch us tackle Bwlch y Groes, but don't worry he's not coming with us:D

There's also a nice little ford with an 'interesting' exit:green gri

would i be able to come i would be on a Dakar 650??????????:aidan

Normally I would say yes as I've done most of it on a Dakar in the past but we're including Bwlch y Groes in this ride which could, no, would stump any GS.
It would mean you riding right around it an meeting us at an unknown time:nenau, if you have TKC 80 tyres fitted they would still not be good enough even for the rest of this ride.

So, sorry but this ride isn't suitable for GS's.

Keep an eye out though for next time:thumb

boohooo :(

thats cool!!! Sounds like i neeed another bike!!!!

What bikes are you guys riding on what would you recommend ??some thing on the cheap side if possible????

I remeber the old Maico 2-strokes,,awesome machines. I recall Graham Noyce thrashing one round a track near Natwich many years ago:thumb2

Tim - you have to get some shots or even footage of bwlch y groes as it sounds rather technical.....

Have a great weekend guys.
