Just wonder if people know of simple options to carry a GPS on a bike if you haven't got the standard metal mounting brackets?

Is the tankbag map compartment the only option?

Or are there simple bags that you can simply attach (without screws and brackets) to a bike?

Advice and links to specific products would be much appreciated :thumb2

Hein Gericke do a bag called the streetline gps sat nav bag,£14.99 it can be mounted to the bars or will fit onto some tank bags in there range

Thanks! Very helpful :thumb

I got a Zumo 550 but I am sure I can borrow my brother's slimmer in car one. Not looking to wire it up but depending on the battery.

Did I miss the posts about you getting a new bike?

Ram must do a bar clamp->arm->ball->plate that'll do the job.

Tom, Tried relying on the battery on my 660 when I rode the PD back from Edinburgh...

Clamped it on the handlebars and off we went.... flat battery by the time I approached Newcastle ;)

Give us a clue? I used "Ram and GPS" .. and nothing comes back.

Sometimes the keyword is the answer itself :(

Can see RAM ball on chrome block, not sure of thread size, so check, RAM-B-236 (3/8"- 16 TPI) and RAM-B-349 (M10 x 1.25 TPI), RAM-B-349-1 (M10 x 1.5 TPI) otherwise RAM-B-231Z on handlebars.

Thank you to all who gave great advice.

I went for a bag (So Easy Rider V4) because of local availability for a last minute purchase. I would highly recommend this product for those who don't want to use screwdrivers.
