Evening all,

I have managed to get my hands on a pair of these hand held UHF radios and helmet mounted earpieces and microphones for the very reasonabe price of NOTHING.

But how to mount them to the bike and to ensure they don;t get water in them. Looking at a RAM set-up, buut was wondering if there was a cheaper way.

Installing on an F650 and a 1100GS.

If anyone knows of other solutions, would be pleased to hear of them.

Cheers and thanx :bow

I simply have mine tucked in an internal pocket on my jacket. Works OK, I use a push to talk button mounted on the left hand mirror base. This presupposes that the PTT lead is of adequate length. Mate that I usually ride with and I agree on a primary and an alternate channel at the start of the ride so no need as a rule to change channels and volume adjustment during the ride. Unless we get off the bikes we usually do all talking through the comms sets.
