Guys, could i ask for idea's or piccies of best to mount the TTRider v1. i have all the original bits but I dont want to mount on the middle of the bars as I dont kike the way it restricts viewing of the clocks.

Ideally i would like to mount off that little oval shaped bar that goes around the clocks, sort of above the speedo but the oval bar is not particularly compatible with the cast mount.

Ideas/piccies of where or how you have mounted them appreciated. even happy to take ideas for alternative mounts if necessary 9links please)

I had mine mounted exactly where you mentioned for a couple of years before I changed to a Zumo 550. The key is to pack out the bracket on the mounting as the oval shaped bar is a little smaller than a handle bar. I used a combination of insulating tape and grey plumbers pipe lagging (the spongy stuff and although it was initially a bit of a faff once tightened up it worked a treat. Sorry I don't have any piccies but it sat just above the speedo to the left so was ideal to see without disturbing my view of the speedo.

Good Luck :thumb

I cut a strip off a camping roll mat that worked perfectly mate

Drop me yr emailmadd and I'll send you a photo, can post a strip of the foam up too, been on 3 years and still going strong, protects the bar it's on too.

The mounting kit (not cradle) supplied was prone to breaking and many found themselves using RAM-B-149Z or short arm RAM-B-149ZA onto oval rail of 12GS as shim and 1" u-bolt is an option. The next trick is working out with tad longer M3 screws how to get diamond base fitted :augie , it does work .. and *no* a RAM-B-347 does *not* fits onto existing R1 cradle ..just cos it has four holes, .. they do not align :blast
