Guys,
I've seen a bike advertised in Belfast, I live in Cumbria.
Can anyone give advice / options / costs etc for getting it back home if I decide to buy. Not that keen on riding it back; what other options are out there ?
Thanks
John

Options

Do not buy it
Drive over with trailer and put bike on trailer
Fly over and drive back
Drive over and get it couriered back
Fly over and get it couriered back
Hitch hike over and ride back
Hitch hike over do not buy bike and hitch hike back

There's enough options.

Costs

Do a search

This is silly, but:

The only logical way to get the bike home is to fly over and ride it back.
Alternatively, get someone to drive you to the ferry and get the seller to meet you there.
Book the ferry home as a one day weekend trip motorcycle trip to Scotland, and it will cost circa £20.00
Just don't return that night.
After that, remember you buy a bike to ride it, not to get someone to courier it home, and anyway, Cumbria is not that far from Stranraer, (133 miles) It's only just up the road.

+1
Fly and ride is the logical and more than likely the cheapest way.

you need the bike looked at to see if it's okay? I will go for you

Hmm A day trip Would ya buy me a fish n chip and run me back to the boat?? :aidan

I can vouch for the former. Yer man has done the same for me.

The latter sounds like a very good offer. Don't get your hopes up, I think he's only talking about ferrying the bike?;)

Thanks guys

Appreciate the offer DrFarkoff - If I'm going for it, I'll be in touch.

All the best
