Hello UK GS-ers!

We are Simon & Cécile Vrijhoff (Mr. & Mrs. FreeBike) from the Netherlands and we ride both a GS, Simon a R1200GSA and I a "regular" R1200GS. Next week we are coming to Scotland and stay for nearly 2,5 weeks!!! I have been already 9 times in Scotland (Simon 2 times...) and I LOVE it !!! Can anyone tell me if there will be a (GS)event in the coming weeks somewhere in Scotland? Maybe on Sundays at the Green Welly Stop at Tyndrum? It's also OK if it will be somewhere else... We stay with Scottish friends in Dulnain Bridge (near Grantown-on-Spey) and are planning to do a trip every day about 300-350 miles.

Cecile, Johnny (HRH Onnyack) and Rab (Robmack) have organised the Skye Soiree weekend for the last weekend of the month at Carbost near the Talisker Distillery on Skye. Details are at the top of the threads in the Scotland Section.

Johnny has posted that it's Fully Booked but you may be in luck and find that someone has pulled out.

We arrive August the 13th in Newcastle and ride to Dulnain Bridge that day. Last year I had a nice meeting with some UKGS-ers at the Green Welly Stop in Tydrum on an sunday afternoon in May. We are planning to go there on sunday August the 16th so see (if the weather is nice) if there are some GS-ers. And maybe the next week also if possible we if couldn' t get in Tyndrum the 16th... We return to Newcastle the 30th of Augustus to take the ferry back home.....:( So I think that we don't manage it to go to Carbost the last weekend of the month.... We are going to visit some friends of the Scottish Coastguard in Portree at Skye. And ofcourse " taking" Devil's Elbow and other BEAUTIFUL roads!!!!:JB

I'm only 25 miles away over the Dava moor from Dulnain Bridge. Drop me a pm with a contact number when your settled in and we can organise a beer or a cup of tea and I will scribble down some good local roads on your map for you.
