MS Visual Basic ???

I shall go and stand in the corner after this and not ask any more questions..... probably.

How do I find out if my PC has MS Visual Basic Version 3 dynamic link library installed on it?

According to the program I'm trying to use, vbrun300.dll was included. However the bit that needs it, says not!

as you can tell i know nowt - i like point and click - please be gentle and kind and pronounce in language even a simpleton like meself will comprehend.

All files and folders

Enter the full file name vbrun300.dll in the box, click on Search and off you go!

Will probably in the System or System32 folder (i.e., C:\WINDOWS\System32 etc), but not necessarily

If you can't find it, you can get it from Microsoft here

cheers guys - I have got it (and it was in twice - Program files and system 32) should it be?

Not that helps - as I'm still unable to get the bleepin' pedigree prog working, but at least I've ruled out one issue...... (well, you guys have)

What does the actual error message say? I wonder if it's just not registered?

Try copying the .dll file to the same folder as the program you are trying to run.

emailed the guy who wrote the pedigree prog I'm trying to use once I knew I had the dll - he "talked" me through the steps I should have been doing - oh dear, I had missed the important one !

it all works now !
