Hey peeps! I'm enjoying my ex-Brecon 650GS... much better suited to my commute than my R1150R. As I don't drive I've got a BMW top box (stop laughing at the back, it's for the shopping!) as well as some much better looking mods(!) However, in this crappy winter(ish) riding I've noticed the whole rear end of the bike gets a good splattering especially the locking assembly of the top box. Not only is it annoying to get crap on your fingers when you open+close it but I'm also worried about it damaging the locks. Of course I clean it off when I get home but I'd be grateful for anyone's advice as to how to prevent this mudslinging!

Either fabricate something simple like this yourself or get if from BG's stuff from the Chain Gang

That looks pretty useful. I notice he hasn't got the mudguard thingy, maybe an older GS(?) The LEDs look interesting too. Many thanks!! :thumb

Those LEDs are Hyperlites - http://www.hyperlites.com/ - nice looking solution but of the 4 pairs I brought back from the USA last year, 3 have gone wrong. So a thumbs down on reliability I'm afraid.

Oh, that sucks! I like the look of those LED indicators of Nippy Normans that have the integrated brake light LEDs. Quite a tidy solution.
