Mudsling

Thanks for the offer, be interested to hear what the quality of the Chinese Hugger is like. When is yours due to arrive as the eBay sites are quoting March/April from China?

I'm not sure the infill panels will help with what annoys me, as I get a lot of spray on the Swinging Arm, Bevel Box and Givi Pannier Frame on that side of the bike so am hoping a Puig style Hugger would reduce this.

Occasionally I used to get spray on the back of my right leg when I had the 1200GS but with the Mudslinger this doesn't seem to be such a problem on the 1250GSA.

Look forward to your feedback on the Chinese Hugger.

If anyone wants detailed pics of a Chinese one let me know. I have one here that I ordered but have not fitted as yet as I am truing the mudsling and infill panels first....

Mine's due by 19th march, but with the corona virus thing ongoing it's anyone's guess when it'll turn up but I'll let you know what it's like when it does arrive if that'll be of any use

Thanks, maybe give the box a wash before you unpack it!

I had the Puig hugger on my first LC for a couple of weeks, before I took it off due to being useless. It has sat on the shelf in my garage ever since. I just have the Mudsling to protect the shock and accept the fact that the back of the bike gets covered in crap.

What I didn’t like about the Puig hugger was the cheap bolts supplied for the swing arm brace and brake calliper. If I bought the cheaper EBay one, I would definitely upgrade the bolts! You also need to ensure the ABS sensor wire is routed correctly and not rubbing on the mount.

Also, when fitting and you take out the bolt for the brace bar, make sure you have a lever under the wheel, or it will be a bugger to get the bolt back in.
