I've started a new thread for the coming winter season for anyone wanting Muffs and/or Gauchos, or anything Tucano Urbano.

Unfortunately Tucano have up'd their prices this year, so we've had to add a bit to ours. My retail agreement with the supplyer forbids me to sell at less than retail price, so I've subsidised the postage cost for members of the forum, to help keep the prices down.

2008/9 prices are:

Muffs: £40.00 inc P&P

Gaucho: £99.00 inc P&P

Muffs & Gaucho together: £136.00 inc P&P

These prices are for UK post code areas only. If you're outside the UK mainland please PM me for a total price, I'm happy to send world wide.

I prefer payment by cheque, but if you you aren't technologically advanced enough to have such a thing other methods can be arranged.

The best way to contact me is via PM, alternatively you can email me at valatlmc@hotmail.co.uk

Orders are placed in batches of around ten so as to save on postage costs which I can then pass on to you. Therefore orders might not be dispatched to you for a couple of weeks dependent upon demand. Your patience is appreciated, but if you have any special requirements I'm sure we can work something out.

These are some pictures courtesy of Tim Cullis, of the Muffs and Gauchos fitted 'in this case' to the 1200gs and ADVs.

They are also available to fit many other types of bikes. Drop me a PM with your requirements and I'll see what we can do.

Cheers Val.

Gauchos and muffs are essential for really cold weather riding.
When folded down the gaucho ensures your seat is dry when you start off

I am still worried that my muffs (which I bought for my standard 1200Gs) won't fit my new 1200GSA with auxiliary lights. You mentioned an insert on the old muffs thread. Do you have any update? The colder weather seems to be creeping up. Thanks

Sadly I've not been able to get close enough to the 12ADV with the aux light switch fitted (anyone in the north wilts area with the aux light switch on the left bar?).

My guess is that it would be quite simple to add an extra bit of fabric to bridge the gap.

The difficulty is simply that the Velcro won't close fully over the extra bulk of the aux switch, the Muff should still go on though. You'll just have a gap in the closure. Why not give it a go, take some pics etc. Then we can see what needs doing.

My nearest dealer is 50 mile away, and I work 6 days a week. So popping in to have a look ain't too practical for me.

If you mean the 08 GSA - I'll be leaving Bath around 6ish Thursday evening heading for J17 via Chippenham if that's any good?

Damm, Sorry Clive I've missed your post. I'll drop you a PM.

Val

Do you still have to take off the handguards on the 1200GSA to fit the muffs?

If you have the standard guards fitted low 08s included, the muffs will fit with the guards in place.

I have a similar question but it relates to the Touratech handguards with spoilers on my F800GS. I believe these are a smidgle smaller than the 1200GSA with spoilers.

Jon

Jon I haven't seen these. But for refference the 1150/1200 04-07/ 1200 08 low guard covers will all fit the Muffs.

I'd be interested if they fit an 08 gsa

I have not picked up my GSA yet but as soon as I get it I will try my existing muffs and keep you posted.

This would be very helpful. Does it have the aux lights with the switch on the left handel bar switch gear? If so some photos would be good.

Many thanks to Clive, who took a much appreciated detour this evening so I could have a fiddle with his handlebars.

I can now confirm that the 319 Muffs will fit over the 08 handguards with the low extensions fitted (the high ones would need to be removed, though this is easily done by undoing two small screws).
The Aux light switch fitted to the 06-on GSAs does not cause any problem with fitting the Muffs what so ever.

Also, Anyone with a F650gs (single) may like to know that I recommend the 319s for fitment over the OE handguards and the Accrebiss handguards.

Unfortunately, I don't yet know for sure if the Muffs will fit correctly over the OE handguards fitted to the F658gs and F800gs (twins).
Is there is anyone in the North Wilts area with a 658 or 800 would like to volunteer?

Val.

Hi Val - Muffs received thx for speedy dispatch, as described they fit well on the '08 1200GS once you have removed the top panel of the OEM handguards from each side. Nice product :clap:clap:clap

Shame it is now too warm to bother riding with them - bring on the cold weather... :augie

Muffs arrived today, Val. Haven't had a chance to fit them yet, but they look the job. Thanks again :thumb

would someone with a 650 or 8 twin kindly get up to north wilts to see if val can get his/her muffs on your bars? just think of the kudos you'll receive from the entire uk 6/8 twin riding community!!
