Can any one direct me to a reasonably priced supplier for a multimeter.. I used to have one in previous job.. a FLUKE and it was apprently worth £155 according to some websites.. rather wished i had "lost".. when i left..

I need something simple to work and robust.. check continuity and voltages is about all it will get used for.. and resistance too..

thats as far as my electronics goes.

Cheers.. John aka rocks..

For the accuracy you will need nearly any multi-meter will do..

But get one that has an audible continuity test on it.

as ian has said earlier maplins is a good place to get one

http://www.maplin.co.uk/

i have had the white gold multi-meter wg022 for ten years now and it's still going strong.

it may be more than you need but it is good...the one i have now costs £49.99 it cost me £80 ten years ago.

if you want it type in the product code below in the maplin search

WG022

Fluke 77

You can get a cheap multimeter at Aldi and Lidl's for about £10.

When I used to work I also used a Fluke 77 and when I stopped I aquired two of 'em, so if you want to make me an offer I can't refuse.

I also have a big american Simpson, like an AVO 8 that I used for current.

Catalogue on the way..

Hi Guys,,
Cheers i have ordered a maplin catalogue today.. I see on the site they have aself raning Multimeter for a Tenna..
It looks like a pretty neat item so probably get that one,, not wanting to spend a fortune on it, as i will not use it often....
