Any suggestions on a good multitool? Leatherman Waves are going cheap on ebay but I was after something more useful for the bike. The Leatherman crunch has looking jaws and a hex bit driver...more useful?
I've heard Snap-on do a multitool but cant find it, Mountain biking shops also seem to do some nice kit. Any ideas?

They make them, but I've never seen or used one.

Here :)

Aha...thank you, couldnt see that one. The locking fine nose pliers look slightly better than the chunky leatherman ones on the Crunch. Although the Leatherman had the hex driver.....tricky one.

I have the Leatherman Wave and I am very pleased with it but would not consider it as a tool to do any serious work on the bike with. Good to have in the tool kit though.
It has locking blades, does that not make it illegal in the UK?

Not, I think, if the blade is under 3" long.

And even then it would take a very small-minded copper to 'do' you for it. It's a discussion we've been having at the sailing club where many of us carry knives. I even use my trusty 'pusser's' knife and that's folding with a blade of approx 5". It's still being issued in the Royal Navy, so I work on the basis that if it's OK for them , it's OK for me.

The longest blade is 75mm, just short of three inches. wasn't there a post some time ago about a man being charged for being in possession of a Swiss Army multi tool? I was under the impression that the law applied to all locking blade knives. Bloody silly to apply it to multi tools, scrotes won't pay that kind of money.

To be honest I find more use for mine on the boat than the bike but always take it nonetheless.
