So my sort of neighbours (in the sense that they are in the same street have made the national news), story below....I find it absolutely outrageous that a hard working family have been treated this way....I mean they all have 'serious' afflictions that prevent them from working and meaningfully contributing to society, it's not easy scrimping and saving on the dole when you have about 8 kids to feed and to buy a £20,000 HiLux van, it's not the children's fault they couldn't get a decent education, the school system is broken, it's the fault of the school that the kids have turned out as illiterate window lickers who have no future, and is it little wonder that they have (allegedly) succumbed to the perils of drugs and selling it to support themselves....
......and through the hopelessness of it all become a menace to the very society that turned it's back on them.....
today Society failed not this poor family.....

Police were apparently alerted when several residents rang police
augie) to complain that the properties were "decorated like Christmas trees".
Officers believe the ornaments were stolen in a series of night-time raids on gardens across the Lothians in recent months, and have appealed for the rightful owners to get in touch.
The haul included a large wooden elephant, plastic penguin, Hawaiian parasols and 12 deck chairs, and 60 other ornaments. Electrical goods including lawn mowers, strimmers and a pressure washer were also found.
Altogether the curiosity shop collection is estimated to be worth around £1,000. Five men and two women, all thought to be from the same family and aged between 16 and 47 years, were questioned and released pending further investigations.
"If the goods are stolen it's amazing the thieves had the audacity to put them into their gardens."
