I thought I would post that my bmw 650 twin starts on the button averages 70mpg and has been totally reliable.
I has cost a fortune in petrol because I cant seem to get off the dam thing...Loving every mile...Tosh

Tosh.

No, No, No.

You're not supposed to come on here and say nice things. Now where's the fun in that.

Hang your head in shame and disappear with your tail between your legs.

Mine's great too!

Amen brother

I've not had a problem with mine yet (touch wood). tottally inspires confidence :D

I also forgot, Since Ive owned it I have never cleaned it, The dirtier it gets the better it looks

lol, same here. I was forced to clean it the other day after finding a pigeon had decided to kill itself by falling on my bike.
...the smelly goo from a dead animal got a bit intense after my commute to work

Here's another positive for you Tosh.....

My daughter was at university in Hull and I absolutely love the place :-)

Tis nice to hear good reports about the bike, I'm still quite tempted.:thumb
Too many niggles with the 1200 for me.

Absolutely brilliant machine. Done some 2k KM's over the last 2 weeks, and it's never given a moments worry. I'm even getting the equiv of 74mpg loaded with camping gear. I smile every time I fire her up.:thumb

Jesus Christ, Mary Mother of Jesus, It's the King...................................................................

Rock and Roll on some more :D :roll :roll

I am disgruntled.

My 650 twin blew a dip headlamp bulb today. It was a Philips Vision Plus, only been in there three years.

Can't rely on anything these days.

Bah.

I do a bit of work in Hull from time to time, interesting town and a bridge to rival the golden gate.
Nice bike by the way, daft name for a 800

Hull's OK but the bridge is free for bikes so now there's even more roads to ride..One hour and im in Scarborough, one hour and im on the yorkshire wolds, one hour and im in the dales, one hour and im at squires cafe..
Two hours im in the lake district, two hours and im in wales...
So when the wife and I go touring there isnt many places that we cant reach easily..

Ive just noticed that there is oil from the top of my engine . Loks like the rocker cover gasket has gone, A common problem, o well never mind.
Ive now got to look through thousands of pages of posts on the"how to fix it"
It will probably be quicker to fix it than find the bloody how to..Still love the bike tho'...
