My First Ever Thread!!

(Computer Numpty) Can I use Thunderbird which is my preferred email program together with M/S Outlook for calender, addresses etc If so, how do I do it?

There is no problem running Outlook alongside Thunderbird, you just ignore the e mail part of Outlook.
I would stick with Thunderbird for contacts though as far as I know there is no way for Thunderbird to use the Outlook contacts when you are composing an e mail.
