Well I'm looking towards bringing the 1150GS back to blighty next April and started thinking about importing and getting her MOT'd.

I read on here somewhere that if bits were fitted as standard then they should be working to pass an MOT. However, if you remove all traces of whatever you have removed it shouldn't pose a problem.

Can anyone confirm this.

My thoughts immediatly went to the right hand switch gear with it's ABS switch and the rear sensor which is still in the rear drive unit.

The switch gear shouldn't be a problem as is easily replaced. What about the rear sensor :nenau

Does anybody sell a blanking plate similar to the rear mudguard thingy plate?
Does the hole it fits into need blocking if I remove it.

I could take it out and have a look but it's too bloody hot in my garage.

Cheers

Del

For the switch, the "ABS" would need to be defaced/removed/simply covered over with a bit of tape.

At the rear, is the sensor still in place? if it's just the sensor braket - no problem the sensor "should" be removed to be totally correct, but if you take it to a non-BMW specialist they'd never know what was supposed to be there in the first place!

Yes I suppose I could just say it's the speedo drive like the R1100S.

I would still like to remove the sensor, ABS ring and spacer in the back wheel etc.
