I have been promising to do this for some time so this is my XT1200ZE. I brought it form Tinklers Norwich my previous bike was a 2007 GSA in white brought new from Astel's but it was time for a change to something that did not require a recall twice a year. So the S10 fitted the bill. So far its been its had the mods below. I've had a very wet trip to Scotland and general local trips. The only fault so far has been bar end weight bolt coming loose ,but it may have been self inflicted as I did loosen it at some time and may not have fully tightened it. Otherwise fault less and no recalls!

Mods so far
Altrider engine bars
Motec side stand enlarger
Off Road 30mm bar risers
Hepco and Becker panniers and quick fit frames.
Givi rack top plate SRA2101
Kriega fork protectors
Yamaha wind deflectors
Fuze block
Phillips high power headlight bulbs
Seat mod
GPS & Autocom
Mirror Extenders
Kappa KGR46 Garda top box (same the Givi but without the leaking hinged top)
Mivv end can and Hugger (thanks Thomas)
Replacement Brake and clutch levers with more adjustment.

Best mod Mirror extenders £12, I can see the top box behind me & no elbows. Next best seat mod £8ish.

The only complaint is the OEM Bridgestone tyres are not the most confidence inspiring of tyres as I find they follow anything possible to deflect from the line I want to take round a corner so they will be going soon & possibly TKC70 fitted as I live in the land of the tractor & mud covered roads. Also mod wise I need to drop the panniers on their frames as they are too high to fit a decent top box. I also need to fit an LED light block (6x18w) to help stop lurking deer.

I hope this is of interest

Regards
Ian

Some more photos. The last one was following a ride with Zed1000 and friends through the lanes of Suffolk and Norfolk, it took 2hrs to get it clean again but I enjoy the ride despite the weather.

Had mine just over a year and I like it a very underrated bike IMHO
Have done nearly 8K on it now and found it to be comfortable one up and 2up
Fast enough, economical, surprisingly good off road for a bus

Seats are sargent
I had them on my 1200GS and loved them
There just as comfy on the Tenere :thumb

I found the sargent harder on the 1200GS than the S10
I have got a brand new standard front seat if anybody wants one to have a play with
I bought it and was going to modify it but then the sergeants came up

Cracking bike, wear well. Some tasty mods too. The Altrider bars give the bike more definition due to their colour, I like.

What type bulbs did you get? Any chance of a pic with them on during daylight hrs ( im sure they are good for night riding )

tks
