I've sold my Zumo 550 and it seems my lifetime updates aren't transferable to my new unit.
So , is there any reason I shouldn't give the purchaser my MyGarmin account after I change the e mail and address over to his details , and then create a new account for my new unit?
Seems a shame to throw away the lifetime maps updates for the 550.

Sell it to him to help fund a new account for the new unit :beerjug:

Interesting question, have thought the same myself but having 3 GPSs and a traffic receiver on my account as well as two lifetime subscriptions it's not possible.

Obviously what you're proposing goes against the EULA for the lifetime sub, not sure what Garmin would do about it if they detected you were attempting to circumnavigate it. Not sure what they would make of a change of details and then you registering a new account with the old details...

Whilst it might make the sale of your Garmin more attractive to a purchaser a lifetime sub, done the legit way, is only £50 from Handtec.
