Mysterious font changing in Microsoft Outlook and Word?

I keep getting these incidences of font changes in Word or Outlook. I had an email today from a mate, and the body of the email is in 'times new roman' font When I 'reply' the email though, the body of text changes to 'Heavy heap' font for no apparent reason.

It's happened a couple of times over the last month, but seems very strange. I don't think it's a virus or anything because I'm up date with spyware; antivirus; spybot... the lot.

It seems to be some glitch within Outlook.

Any ideas?

My guess is that it's to do with the editor (outlook internal or MS Word) and the style (rich text, HTML or plain text).
Try having a look around those settings.
