Hi Rich,

following up on a few previous posts......

The the only problem I have with the set up now is as follows.

The phone runs through the zumo with no problem but whenever I speak the Autocom reduces the volume from the Zumo by 50% then it takes 4 seconds to cut back to full volume once I finnish talking.

Basicaly you cannot have a conversation like this. |Is there anything that can be done?

Hi David,

Due the AUX 2 socket mainly being desinged for music any signal running from your mics will mute anything being plugged into the socket. So its one of the drawbacks with the Zumo running on the Part 1299's or 1300's.

So you have got a couple of options, we could take the mute feature off your board on your system so the phone will not be muted but this will also apply for the music. Or you could run a seperate connection for the phone via one of our BT dongles (Parts 1273 or 1276) that will plug into the phone socket so the phone calls will not be muted and you will still get the music muting.

So you can still run the audio lead you have got and simply dissconnect the phone line.

Thanks Rich.

Let me get this right.

Disable the mute feature and the rest of the system will stay the same

Or

Add a 1273 to Aux 1 - this is a separate bluetooth box which will connect direct to the phone ignoring the ZUMO. so I will lose the advantage of having access to the phones controls via the ZUMO touch screen.

Have I got this right?

No you haven't got it right.

Ive gone the more expensive Autocom Bluetooth dongle on I/P 1 and am happy. The Zumo pairs with your phone and also pairs with the Autocom dongle as a headset. Zumo controls all the phone functions from the screen. Very convenient. I found the receive speech for my Nokia was perfect but too lound with my Sony Ericsson. Autocom reduced the gain of the dongle for me and all is well. I have the Pro AVi - splendid. :aidan

Dave,

The Part 1273 will pair with the Zumo main control unit, you then connect your phone to the Zumo.

Mute wise your system will not be affected on any of the other sockets just the Aux 2 socket.
