Fitted this week to my 1150 - hell of a toot now! Very little space but seems secure. Have used original horn bracket bent appropriately. Have read that some GSers have done this - is the original bracket strong enough? Thought it might be better because it is a loose lamination of three strips of steel that provide some absorbtion of vibration - but will keep an eye on this. I was a little reluctant to cut off the plug that connected to the original horn, but did. Realised after that I could have kept this in reserve should I ever want to put original back on by using piggy-back connector on green wire! The other thing I will need to watch is that the hydraulic brake line makes some contact against nautilus on full lock in one direction - any observations guys?
Bought the unit from Nippy Norman - ordered on Sunday arrived Tuesday morning. Had to buy 1.00 and 2.5 mm wire, connectors and in-line fuse. Job took me about 2-3 hours (including tea breaks and headscratching time).
