The Nav 3 supports the POI loader so you'll get aural as well as visual warnings.

It works great with NavIII which will also warn you by voice in advance.

Sorry I'm not a SatNav wizkid. What do you mean by an overlay? I just added it to the NavIII using Garmins POI Loader programme and the cameras show up (including speed sign) on the map as you go.

That's about as technical as I want it

Overlay is in non technical term another map. What you have added isn't. 2610's / Nav 2's can't add speed cameras like you have. They can only use an overlay, which gives no extra warning than if you were approaching eg a petrol station. That is it shows them, but doesn't warn you. Problems can occur with the sheer numbers of them making the roads disappear at certain zoom levels. This doesn't happen with the POI's in my experience.

Thanks, I'm now a little wiser.

I know it's expensive but the Nav3 is really the dogs b...ocks I find and it's simple to use. (has to be)
