Nav IV - conect bluetooth headset

but i have just got a navigator iv all is good except when i try to play music it is telling me to conect bluetooth headset even thou it already is i can hear voice prompts from satnav i now i am doing something wrong can anyone help please.

If it's anything like the Zumo 660 then connect it using the "As Mobile Phone" option.

it just says please connect headphones or an a2dp bluetooth headset to use media player funny thing is when i plug some head phones into the satnav with the scala on you can start the player and it plays thru the scala speakers not the headphones.

It should be in the menu to change the output source.

i cant seem to find anything that says menu or saurce on the satnav it is set on mp3 for music its not on audible for books cheers.

Make sure the audio is turned on not just sound, there is a different setting for audio & navigation.

is your headset A2DP ?

Have you tried selecting the audio output in bluetooth menu. I have a 660 so not the same but trying to help.

Other place to try is the volume selection page where you can select volume of media, voice etc

thanks for all the replies guys are we able to play music thru the speaker like you can on a 660 when it isnt connected to a bluetooth headset becouse this doesnt i bought it off ebay as perfect working order and it obviousley isnt cheers.

If you can hear sat nav commands through the headset then the music should also be able to be sent through the BT. It has to be a setting on the unit imho.

ref post 3 it is weird there was a post from a couple of years ago with the same problem and message on the screen of his nav 4 he sorted it by just deleting his scala over and over again untill it just worked i will try that myself when the nav is charged again i am in manchester by the way thanks for all the help guys.
