Nav V USB anyone have charging problems ?

After months of no use, my NavV is down to 1/4 charge and refuses to charge from a USB charger.
Another forum has reported similar issues and one guy says that it'll only charge from his computer when Garmin Express is running. I'm trying that now and will report back.
Does anyone else have issues with USB charging on this unit ?

Is your USB charger at least 2 amps? That's what the Garmin charger is rated to.

The GE program probably launches when he plugs the device into his PC.

GE is software, a powered USB is hardware which wont change regardless of any installed software.

Problem solved: it's a USB lead issue; the fourth lead that I tried works. Clearly USB leads ate not all the same !

Your better using the Garmin supplied lead.

Also check to see if you are running it through a USB hub. Some disrupt the signal to the device.
