Nav5/6 cradle to fit on 1250 above the screen of an RT

Hi Guys ,Ive moved over to an RT and have a chigee 5 lite that worked flawlessly with the wizz wheel on my gsa.
rather than depend on the screen nav and an apple phone .i want the chigee on my RT anybody had any experience or problems ?

I went from a GS to an RT a few months back. My RT has the 10” tft. Bought a stick on mount from Aliexpress that so far has been great. Bought a BMW Nav cradle from someone on the forum, found the nav lead that is under the left handlebar & power the nav mount from there. The Chigee works from the whizzy wheel as it did on the GS.

I purchased a “ stick on mount “ from Aliexpress, and found that the securing screws/bolts were not in line with each other. This would have meant that my Nav6 would have been out of line with top of TFT screen.
I then purchased, a considerably more expensive Wunderlich mount. No problems, works well.

That’s interesting, I told the guy that sold me the bike at the dealers this and he said it only supplies power and wont work the whizz wheel due to the bike wanting you to use the nav part of the screen already in the tft

The whizzy wheel does work with the Chigee but it’s not very slick so I find using Siri is better.
The nav option on the tft only works from the BMW Connected Ride app that you put on your phone. Pair your phone with the tft & the nav works. Haven’t tried it myself on the RT as I did try it with my GS but found it too clunky. Things may have moved on but I like the Chigee, it meets my nav & music needs. Plus I don’t have to go through the tedious linking of helmet to tft, tft to phone etc that I found a real ball ache.

I also find the connected ride ,keeps messing around with my cardo so will leave the C ride disconnected and use the chigee and cardo edge

I owe you an apology!
The whizzy wheel doesn’t work with the Chigee even with the BMW nav mount. I could have sworn that it did but something was niggling me about it so I’ve just been & checked. Of course on the GS you could change between TFT & Nav but on the RT you can’t.
Tbh I very seldom used the wheel for the Chigee on my GS as the Chigee was very clunky so for music change (skip, pause etc) I used Siri & still do.
I’ve always set my nav up whist stationary so use the touchscreen.
