Navigator 2 dim screen

I`ve got a BMW Navigator 2 which I haven`t used for a cuple of years. Switched it on today and the screen is very dim and I can barely see routes/info etc.

Any ideas anyone?

You can set the screen backlight brightness by

Press the "Menu" key

Touch "display"

Drag the slider for desired level of brightness. All as per page 10 of the manual

Tried that to no avail. Think it may be fecked but I`ll get down to Aldi for a headtorch just in case (thanks Dave)

Might be an idea to call Garmin then and ask how much an out of warranty repair will be. If it's more than the GPS is worth
