Anyone have any idea when these will be arriving in dealers?

Cheers.

Nav 2 plus

Spoke to my local dealer yesterday(clarks of Birmingham) 20th April and he said they will be in stock a week today 28th. The official launch is on the Saturday so you should be able to get a look at one then.
I'm keenly waiting as well as the price has come down and it comes allready loaded with UK and europe on a monster 2Gig card, it will allso be a lot faster than my sp111.
Hope you get sorted.:beerjug:

Must admit that I'm not very happy about this.

In mid Feb I specced the Nav II for the 12 I picked up a few weeks back. When buying I asked whether the II was about to be replaced and got the answer "no" as it's only been out for a year. And now I read about the II Plus.

Are there any real differences (apart from memory card and price)? Should I have a word with the dealer (Southport Superbikes) to let them know that I'm not happy about this?

Cheers, Will

The only differences are the extra memory, the lower price and the software now comes pre-loaded on the unit. The rest of the features remain identical to the it's predecessor.

Re: Navigator II Plus?

Does anyone know if the Navigator II Plus is available in the U.S.?
Any other details on this GPS are welcome as this is the first I've heard about the "plus" version and know little about it.
Thanks

New member then?

Hi BTBR
Have been reading bullitin board with interest for sometime after watching gs club uk board and taking part in several of there functions. I just don't get round to making many posts. I tryed to send you a private mail, clicked on private PM and it did not want to work for some reason.
Have found the board very helpfull when considering a new 12 after the 1150 and still do for tankbag etc. etc.
I live in Hunt End, I take it your from Redditch?
Send me your e-mail address and we won't bore everyone with our conversation.
Regards
Del.

Why not just buy an equivalent garmin unit and save a stack of cash, or am I missing some very important point??

Navigator 2 plus

GS monkey you are dead right,i've seen them on Amazon for£549 but I like the idea of a 1gig card allready loaded with the whole of uk and europe .I had a nightmare with my pc when I tried to download maps on my sp111 causing me loads of agro.
:beerjug:
Still don't know which way to go?
1gig card is a bonus plus holding bracket with buttons and lock....
Cheers

I have a 2610 with a Scandisk 2G x 66 that I bought on ebay for £120 - will be cheaper now. Works really well and no trouble downloading maps - all of Mapsource Europe on the card and it takes up about 1.75G.

Phew, that only makes it several hundred more than a 2610 with seperately bought 2 gig card that you can load yourself then....

I know where the smart money is.... (or isnt !! lol)

:D

Ive also been looking at GPS systems.

What is the equivalent garmin produc to the new BMW navigator 2 plus and are there any differences in their functions?

Thanks

Ian
