Evening All,

I recently bought a K1600GT and Navigator V GPS, so would like to use the nav 5 on my 2013 90th Edition GSA as well.

What are my mounting options? Ideally I would really like the locking mount as on the newer TC, using I believe the standard key, but I know the bar it's fitted to on the TC is a smaller diameter, has anyone managed to fit this mount to a Hex Head ? If so, was there enough clearance, and was the power cable connector the same?.....

If the above is a non starter and I ignore the locking piece for now and go down the route of an original 4 button mount with the cam lock type fitting behind, I see it has 2 x connectors on the end of the cable, does one connect into the loom under the oil cooler for power and the other just hang free? If so, as a matter of interest, what bikes etc would utilise the other connector and what's it for?.

Many Thanks,

Roy.

Hi Roy. Had my Zumo 660 in my K1600GT and kept it for my TC GS.
Not familiar about your mounts, I've used a Migsel mount with the holder that came with the Garmin. Works great.
Regarding power supply. The Garmin mount has two leads and I connected it using a connector with three wires that you can buy from Nippy Normans. Only two are used.
Plugs straight into the harness around the steering head and powers up and switches off as it should.
Hope that's some help.

Thanks for that John, just done a search on the Migsel mount, seems to be a quality part, so that's the mount sorted.

Looks like the 4 button mount (77528544464) will be the way to go, bolted to the Migsel.

Just leaves the question why there are two plugs on the end of the BMW 4 button mount lead, any ideas.....anyone ???

Cheers,

Roy.
