Anyone else heading through to Birmingham tomorrow (Thursday) for the bike show?

I'm going to be passing through Bracknell at about 08h30, then up the M40 to arrive around 10h00.

If you feel like travelling together, or meeting and saying hi at the show, please just drop me PM or leave a message on:

Cheers!

Hi James, I think I probably left before you arrived, but I did get to meet up with Blues 'n Two's.

I have to admit that I was regretting my decision to get there first thing, when at 08h30 it was absolutely freezing on the M40!

Hope you enjoyed the show.

Hi Paul,

Good to meet up today :beerjug:

Got a new bike cover and all the Autocom leads I needed.

Now to plumb it in the helmet

NEC - was it worth it?

For those who are wondering whether to go, I thought the show was pretty good this year, despite the fact that there aren't that many new models around.

I thought that the triumph twin retro range was as interesting as ever, just about anything you want for £6k. The Buell adventure sport bike looked the business in that they'd fitted some nice panniers and flung mud all over it, but it was wearing wheels and tryres that looked like they belonged on an R6, so I guess that just about says it all.

The new Triumph Tiger is there, but again with racy wheels and tyres it's no longer really in the adventure sports category.

The big KTM (strike me down) looked great, well finished too.

It was good to see the new Beemer 650s, the one with the enduro styling looked particularly interesting.

Oh, and then there were the MCN girls...

So if you're thinkng about it, I'd say it's definitely worth a visit.
