Is anyone going to the NEC bike show this year?
If so,
1. I have never been, is it worth going?

2. Does anyone know how to get free tickets??:augie

I have told there are some bargins to be had...

There used to be bargains, you'll get the same sort at any Sunday market IMO.

Now it's not so easy for me to get there I won't bother, and don't think I'll miss it either.

Hiya, It depends on what your looking for. Some say in previous years its gone down hill. I have worked the Motorcycle shows for the last 4 years and to be honest, its a show where everything bike related exists.

BTW I am on the Trailblazers stand the first weekend, so pop over and say hi.

I've booked the Tuesday off work to go.
Still undecided if i'll bother.
Went last year, was ok but nowt too exciting

I'm flying over on the last Sunday. Not exactley looking for a bargin but......... I must say that I always enjoy it. I once bought a rx7rr new for 90quid from J&S. JJH

flying over on saturday 4th spend the day at show and then see if i can get into any clubs with my accent before flying home on sunday afternoon

1. Depends*
2. Yes, know someone with tickets to give away

* If you don't like pointing at motorcycles as if you have never seen one before, getting your photo taken with birds who would normally tell you to p*** off and sitting on bikes you could never afford whilst gurning for Queen and Country then probably not.

I have been occasionally over last 20 years, sometimes I get a few bargains, other times come away empty handed, it ain't that cheap to get in, parking is pricey, as is food.

I am never too bothered about looking at motorcycles, near me we have motorcycle dealers and I can normally find motorcycles in them and not have to pay to look at them.

If I am in need of some relativwely expensive kit the bike show can be financially viable and provide a large amount of choice / bargains...sometimes.

Yes i'm going on the Monday to avoid the weekend masses.

IMHO

I like it went last year , this year its bigger all are there, maybe throw my leg over the new Tiger, and no doubt many more new bikes and 2011 models released, lots going on lots to see, probably buy another book from Sam manicom (might even ask if he will sign it for me :D)

:mmmm free tickets maybe if your in the trade or working for a trade there :nenau but i bet you get a free calendar, for £15.00 I think its value for money for a day out with things that interest me. Even a excuse for a ride out up there maybe a full english on the way:thumb2 and when i get there free parking under cover indoors :thumb

Yes you have to put up with quite a few scantily clad females model types walking around smiling but it all adds to a good day. take in a stunt show maybe, nice bit of lunch.

You do get some bargains, its like everything know your prices, I bought a lid last time from Helmet city cheaper than they were selling it else where.

Usualy end up with a bag full of free stickers (ok so im a sticker whore :D) and some leaflets about travel in warm distant lands. walk aroung smiling like a kid in a sweet shop, Talk bike with people, think bike, ride your bike.

I'll be going friday! I have to say after last year I wasn't going to bother. But after seeing how many brands are gonna be there and the new bike line ups for 2011 I changed my mind :)

If your going for a bargin hunt than it might not be worth going! I always seemed to fined stuff cheaper elsewhere. But if you fancy a day out with lots of bikes, worth the money! Hopefully! :)
