Hiya Guys

Can you help?

I have had my 2004 1150gs adv for 6 weeks and i am finding the lights are very dim,

Can you advise me what is a good way of adding lights cheaply ie: hand made brackets?

and what lights will be good on main beam and where to sourse them?

Thanks

Convert the lights to HID (do a search, there is plenty of info on here). I did just my main beam some time ago, the difference is amazing. Of course you can add light bars and spots for that round the world 'look' if thats your thing, but they are just extra weight and bling IMHO.

hid conversions are good but not cheap try halfords bulb range

Really? I bought a set of twin 50w hids, in my choice of 5000k temp, shipped to my house for under £40 from ebay. I used the company VVME as they had many good reviews from the guys over on ADVrider, where there's also a step by step photo post of how to fit them too. Took me about an hour from start to finish.

Cheaper than a pair of decent bulbs and way, way brighter.

Same here - great HIDs and a great price from VVME :thumb2

If you are looking for the ultimate night into day experience, I have a couple of sets of HID spots in the for sale section (need to subscribe to the site though).

I would deffo recommend starting with upgrading your stock lights with HID conversion kits though.

Mr Magic/Essjay,
did the customs not nab them on the way in and charge you tax and handling on top of the 45USD?
