Need some new indicators. LED or regular???

My 1150 came with mini indicators and one at least is proving a bit temperamental. They use a silly size of bulb and a poor design of bulbholder so I'm thinking of replacing them.

I could try to find some secondhand but wondering if it's worth the bother given you don't really know the condition. If I buy new ones, should I buy the standard size bmw ones or are there any decent LED ones which would mean not having to be fussed with bulbs again, an idea I'm liking a lot.

Any recommendations for led indicators and are full size ones more likely to get smashed in the event of a fall, at least the mini ones are tucked well out of the way, about the only think in their favour, but I prefer the idea of full size lenses and light output.

I thought about this for ages while re-vamping the bike. I really fancied modern billet ones, but eventually after much consideration I decided on the standard fitting and added white lenses with mirror bulbs (to avoid the fried egg look). Partly to do with the colour I was painting the bike though.
No correct answer to this one, just a matter of taste I suppose. One thing was the size of the bike, too small indi's might look a touch insifnificant?
