Need to Improve

nice post, was thinking the same
what about BMW road skills one ? any opinion ?? is level one too basic for someone who rides daily already ?

Do all these IAM types talk out of their arses?:nenau

James wanted to improve his bike skills, bike handling and control....you don't learn that by getting a Blue Peter badge whether it's bronze, silver or pink.

Some riders views on motorcycling is so blinkered....perhaps many of them are ex Pan European owners, who knows.

Hope not - I'm the Chairman of my local IAM group and I did have a Pan for a while too... :D

In my view, the test ain't the important thing - the badge is even less so and you won't find one on my bike. The key thing is sorting out the machine control and mental skills you need to ride well. Then, when you've got those skills, to keep them up to date.

If you get them riding off-road - great. If you get them riding on the road - great. Just get them however suits you and in a way you'll enjoy.
