Neotec lid?

Unless JKW knows someone I had the same issue, dealers say they cannot discount publicly or they loose the franchise.

Got mine off E-Bay (brand new) someone bought the wrong size.

Good luck

Bought mine today at the NEC for a ridiculous price. A bit of hard haggling involved and they were a bit dismayed at the promise to beat the best price. Next year we'll see more colourful Neotecs for sale.

I'm waiting for the black/green one that was at the show:thumb

Hi Tanneman
Am after a Neotec next weekend. Could you let me know who gave you the best deal at NEC.
Many thanks for your assistance.

The plain colour ones are £352 delivered on line at present.......... Is it much cheaper at the show then? I was not thinking of bothering this year.......

If you can get it for £352 delivered it'll probably be better. I had to bargain a bit. HelmetCity do a £100 off the RRP and I mentioned that LidsDirect would beat their price at the show, so the lady said £360 and put it down on a business card at my request. I showed it to Ben at LidsDirect and they were a bit beaten offering me only £355 but I asked for returning customer discount since I bought my XR1100 from them this year. So we agreed on £350 which I couldn't refuse and LidsDirect is closer to me than HelmetCity in case I need to get the helmet back to them for whatever reason. So there you have it but don't mention this to them, just do your own haggling. Can't wait to give the new helmet a try out as much as I like the Hornet DS on a warm day it is a bit draughty in the chin area and the Autocom don't fit. Yes I know to get earplug speakers but I would also like the retractable dark visor.

Thanks for this info. :blagblah

I have just placed my order - delivered with 'Free Gifts' for £352.

No worries about mail order as you get better rights by distance selling regs anyhow. Although Helmet City is not that far from me I have been less than impressed by them since the new manager who took over there, he never returns calls and is not as personable as before.

As I currently have two Multitechs (differing internal headsets) I recently tried the Neotec but alongside the new Schuberth C3 Pro. I preferred the Pro, it fitted my bonce better and the fixtures and fittings appear to be better made/placed.

Also preferred the built in radio/phone system, just saying - but £352 sounds a pretty good price dunnit!

Tried one at the bike show, but with the XS size I needed I found the chin strap was still loose when adjusted as tight as it can go.

I have a feeling they use the same strap for all helmet sizes, I have found other helmets the same, my HJC (small) needs the strap as tight as it will go as well.

Bought a Schuberth C3, perfect fit in XS and the strap does up nicely about mid-way in the adjustment.

Apart from that issue the Neotec felt really nice and of similar quality to the Schuberth, but fit is everything.

Both were avaliable in the £300 - £350 price range at the show (depending on vendor / colours) I picked up the C3 for £310
