Is the Google page you can see a cached one or is it a newly downloaded one???

I suspect it's cached (IE popping up from your PC's memory rather than actually downloading) and that in fact the other PC isn't connecting at all...that makes it easier to fix or we'd have to work out why you could only see one page.

Go to internet options and clear your 'temporary internet files' and see if you can then access Google.

yes i have got internet sharing enabled on main computer, and have cleared all temp files but whatever i try msn or google put anything in search boxes and it just comes to a stop

just off to get maybe to start with a little planishing hammer

prob easiest to start at the beginning - what cable are you using to connect the pc's together ?

Hmmm.....I'd try disabling your firewall for a moment or two, then try the connection again...if it works, start the firewall up again and then poke around in its settings as it may be stopping access.
