Hi,
New bike has 2000kms on it, and since new, I noticed that it was quite rough at idle, and a bit flat on power. This is compared to my 1200GS, which is fully run in now, 85K kms and is a flier.
I tried to balance the throttles, smoother at mid revs but still lumpy at idle and still a bit flat.
Left it back to Tristar to sort out. After various checks, they finally checked the LH cam timing and found it was not correct. The recall job (new sensor thingy on RHS done before delivery to me) did not mention to check cover this seemingly. The same gauge kit was used to set the timing correctly.
Collected the bike yesterday and it seems a LOT sweeter, both idle and power.
Dealer says idle vac is still out by +30mb - +35mb whereas limit is +25mb, and he is enquiring about that from BMW.
Off for the Friday spin!
