Anybody getting one or got a new one recently with the Silver engine option, instead of the Black engine that is standard order??

If you have got a Silver engined one on order.......was the order code FOC or extra charge....or specifically NOT available now on late 2004/all 2005 Adventures

Just wondering before I speak to Rainbow on Tuesday??

No more

My brother just ordered his last week and Pidcocks say only black engine available now.

Think so

I have just been doing some "research" into a bike in the USA and you can get silver as an option there at this time, come from the same factory, so don't know why not!

AFAIK it's only available with a black engine, but I didn't concern myself too much as I wanted that anyway. I'm happy with the way my current black engine looks after 14K miles. I've got a print-out of the 2005 pricelist, and a silver engine option is not listed.

I asked Kevin at Rainbow and he said only Black, i was going down this route but the brakes problems put me off and I don't like the black finish and I'm not confident of BMW's quality control so I'm keeping what Iv'e got.

GSA

Went into Rainbow today and no order code for Silver engine finish now, so Graham emailed Bracknell team to forward the Silver engine request tag to my order number @ Berlin - Spandau Factory.

So we'll see what happens, you never know they might oblige.........

After all the USA spec GSA's have Silver engines, so it wouldn't be any real hardship on the production line.

Why don't you get a non ABS GSA like me, Jim
