Not poorly, but mileage after its first off road blat is now at 111 :D Hope its not an omen. :blast

After realising I'm getting too old/weak to continue throwing my HP around the trails (and a recurring bad back) I've bought myself a nice little Beta Alp for playing on.

The HP will still be seen out on "big bike" and GS type rides though :clap It would be a crime to keep it on tarmac.

For those that don't know the Beta, it uses the old DR350 air cooled and carb'd motor that everyone used to have (except for those of us struggling round with GSs:blast). It's nice to have a bit of late eighties/early nineties technology (but then, all GS riders know what that feels like :D)

A bit of sorting yesterday - high mudguard (it comes with a low trials type), fork gaitors, junking passanger footrests and helmet lock and a self fabricated sump guard (the TT 1150 Adv mainstand guard was a perfect fit :clap) and I was ready for a few light trails today.
Well, life is going to be so much easier (if a little slower), no sweat and the only back ache came from the low handlebars (have to get those sorted).
I managed to clean "The Banks" (tight and steep) so the gearing obviously doesn't need lowering. Engine is still a bit tight so I kept things gentle, and so far very happy.

So, anyone up for a trail ride next weekend then? :D

Nice one Paul, it is great to get back to basics every so often and a good reminder why we loved bikes in the first place:thumb

Looks very nice mate.
I`m up for a day out next Saturday, think I`ll stretch the Dr`s legs.
