New bike prices

I've never been keen on the bat-wing type fairings, always preferred the clear touring type screen, especially on the Road Kings. I must admit thought that the bat wing does give the bike a certain presence, maybe a bit sinister looking IYKWIM.

I do have a windsplitter screen fitted. I think for touring the batwing will give better weather protection plus its a quick release so does not need to stop on.

I didn't realise QD ones were available, that gives you the best of both worlds. The batwing does give half decent weather protection, I rode an electraglide fitted with one through a hail storm in Arizona, that was feckin painfull though.

Don't think the fairing looks out of place.
Thoughts from the collective.

I think it looks alright but what does is look like from the rider's perspective and what are those three screws either side of the fairing for?

Got a link to the website Doc?

Now 66 years old and retired, no more new bikes for me. So 3-4 years old will suffice on a big tourer.
They say winter time is the best time to buy so looking at December.
Fancy an Indian Roadmaster limited, but still around £19K.

Had a 96" Electra Glide.

Not sure if i can fit a Bat wing because i have the Auxiliary spots fitted. Unless i can make the fittings i have work.
Top pic are the fittings that come with the fairing.

IIRC, the aux spots are designed for the SGS anyway, so you should be ok.

£420 plus £150 for the attachment mechanism...........:blast

Was worried the fittings in top pic wouldn't be long enough.
Plus the screen is extra.

Looking at the pics on the ARH website they look like they are just cap head allen bolts, you could buy some longer sae (I am presuming they are imperial) threaded ones if you needed longer ones and use those instead.:thumb2

EDIT: Ignore that...I was looking at the QR bracket for softails not the touring. Just buy some imperial threaded bar (5/16's IIRC) and cut to length if you need them to be longer. Didn't I send you some for when you put the aux lights on your RKS?

EDIT again: I think the ones you have posted a pic of are for the "bullet fairing", these ones are for the batwing but you would need them in black/get them powdercoated.....

Cheers Si and yes you sent me some. Pic is definitely correct brackets.

Yes, I took a gander at the Memphis Shades U.S. site, they match the fittings to the bike on there. It's still doable with some threaded rod if you need to accommodate the aux lights though. :thumb

Cheers for your help pal.

I put my order in the basket at Hogparts while I made my mind up. Received a message from them saying I had not completed my order and provided a discount code to tempt me saving £70 quid.
Why can't they do that in the first place.:nenau
I know for next time though.

Save a few grand and get a bike with decent suspension and 122 bhp

What he says; the Indian will give you CVO spec as standard out of the box, no need for suspension upgrades etc and a 5 year warranty.

Well ordered the fairing so let's see.

Happy with that. Just need to see what its like on a ride.
